» BACN Students Volunteered for Summer National Olympics Some of the students from Bay Area College of Nursing volunteered in the 2009 Summer National Senior Olympics. This is the largest multi-sports event in the world for people over age 50. It was held last August 1-15 here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Hats off to all BACN students volunteer! This is one of the many ways to give back to our community.

» Nely Sperduto, a faculty member of Bay Area College of Nursing (BACN), was credited 10,000 bonus mile to her Mabuhay Miles by Philippine Airlines as a token of appreciation for the selfless and unconditional response to the call of duty. Mrs. Sperduto, an LVN graduate and now an instructor of BACN, rendered medical assistance to a passenger on board PR 105 last November 19, 2008 from San Francisco to Manila.
